How To Open A Brumate Lid

1. Examine The Lid

The lid on the newer Brumates can look a little intimidating, but they are actually very easy to use once you get the hang of it. The photo below shows a new Brumate with the provided instructions still on the lid. The white dot toward the top with the small Brumate logo is a magnet to keep the lid open.

2. Push The Tab On The Flip Lid Back

The MUV lid features a color-matched flip lid with a raised tab near the back. Push this straight back until you hear an audible “click.” This will seem tough at first, but as you use your Brumate, this will get easier.

3. Push The Lid Upward To Open

At the front of the flip lid, you will see a small ledge overhanging the front of your Brumate. Push this up to open the lid. The flip lid will stay open due to the magnet we discussed earlier.

4. Closing The Brumate Lid

To close your Brumate lid, simply reverse these steps, and remember to lock it back in place. This will ensure a tight seal to keep your Brumate leak-proof.

5. Removing The Entire Lid

Removing the entire lid is very simple, but depending on how tight you have tightened it, you may have to use some muscle to get it off. Use the raised, grooved tabs on the lids for leverage and twist your lid off.
