About Brumate
BruMate was founded by Dylan Jacob who identified the need for a coozie that kept drinks colder for longer. They make every tumbler and can cooler with stainless steel and with insulated double-walled engineering that makes sure that your drink stays the right temperature for hours so you can enjoy your time outside without having to deal with the unpleasant feeling of taking a drink of something that wasn’t what you put in it. BruMate has been known to be compared to YETI with just better prices, which we will mention and talk about more down below.
About Yeti
The brothers that founded Yeti, grew up having a passion for being outdoors, going hunting, fishing, traveling to outdoor industry trade shows with their father who was a teacher turned entrepreneur. They grew up learning to appreciate wild game, unfamiliar terrain, and state of the arc gear. Now during this time the coolers that were available were not built to sustain the terrain the Yeti brothers would find themselves in, so with the frustration of handles breaking, latches not latching, and lids that would collapse. It wasn’t just the inconvenience of needing to get a new cooler after each season, but the ice-chests were a real drag when it came to the adventures they wanted to go on. So in 2006, YETI Coolers was founded with one mission… To build a cooler they would use personally. They wanted a cooler that could take some abuse that comes in the field and water. Which is how we got the popular YETI products, that we see outdoors, on the lake and even in our backyards.
Brumate Vs Yeti Comparison
Our purpose here is to help you find the right tumbler between the Yeti or BruMate, if you really have to choose just one. We have gathered some of our findings on the matter to help you decide which is a better fit for you and your lifestyle, the Yeti or Brumate, and after we have compared the two brands we will discuss our own personal reference between the two, so keep reading. We will be discussing the prices, the performance, ease of use, color and design, and warranty; we will then choose a winner for each category.
Price - (Winner: BruMate)
When buying the right can cooler or tumbler some would find the price somewhat important, and pretty much with anything. And usually our first thoughts are that the higher the price the better quality of product. But what if I could tell you that with BruMate you can still get a tumbler or can cooler that can match up with Yeti can coolers and tumblers, while pricing everything cheaper. Now you could probably find similar items in the Yeti store that has just as low prices as BruMate but the options are very slim, and you still are paying more for something that has either less or the same volume.
Performance - (Winner: YETI)
Another important quality that one should look at when buying anything, especially something as essential as a cooler or tumbler. So even though Yeti and BruMate are both similar for the most part. They both are made from stainless steel that comes together with a double-wall insulation, which does a great job keeping all your drinks cold/hot, depending on your reference. The only difference between the two products is that BruMate comes with an ice pack that is supposed to keep your drink colder longer than Yeti. However, many say that the Yeti still wins by a hair.
Colors - (Winner: BruMate)
Some may not understand the importance of what color your drinkware is, it does make a huge difference in how likely you will use it, and can even increase the value of the product. Both BruMate and Yeti give a wide variety of colors and designs to personalize your drinkware. But BruMate, however, offers more variety in both color and design.
Ease Of Use - (Winner: BruMate)
How complicated can a can cooler be to use, their only function is to hold your drink in place while keeping it cool. Both the Yeti and BruMate do an amazing job at this, they are both able to ensure that there is no condensation when using their coolers, they both are easy to grab with a sleek design. This all said BruMate still has a slimmer design that makes it that much easier to hold, plus the can cooler is extremely effective with holding your can in place. In correlation, both Yeti and BruMate guarantee that their products fit your cans like a glove, but with the
non-slip base that ensures that your drink is snug as a bug, along with the cozy fit and sip lid, is what gives BruMate the win here.
Warranty - (Winner: BruMate)
Knowing that you have protection in case of anything unfortunate happening, and that is why BruMate gives you a lifetime warranty, while Yeti only gives you a 5-year warranty.
Brumate Vs Yeti: Which Is Better?
As you can tell from the survey results, Yeti and BruMate have great qualities. But for the sake of this article we can only choose one, and that would be BruMate’s Hopsulater Trio. With this can cooler you can have both 12 and 16 ounce cans. The ice-pack that comes with it helps keep your 12 ounce canned drinks colder for longer while keeping in place without having to worry about it moving around. Then not only can you place almost every canned drink you could think of, it also is able to be converted into a 100% leak free pint tumbler. Making this probably the most universal can cooler.
Brumate & Yeti Alternatives
Now if neither BruMate or Yeti fits your fancy, we have put together some other alternatives for coolers and tumblers. We will go into a little detail talking about each brand, we will talk about both the pros and cons of each. The brands we will be going over are Corkcickle, Frost Buddy, Hydro Flask, and finally Ozark Trail.
Corkcicle
In 2010 Corkcicle was founded with the mission to keep wine at the right drinking temperature without the mess of an ice bucket. So they created their original Corkcicle Air in-bottle wine chiller. In 2019 they went a few steps further and brought more to the table to give you an amazing experience with every sip you take. And as they continue to grow and expand they stay dedicated to make their products sustainable and economical. They don’t end with that but their prices are budget friendly.
Frost Buddy
Brock and Mitch, the two brothers who founded Frost Buddy in 2020. They were switching from a slim can cooler to a normal can cooler, when the idea hit them. Why are people buying 3 or 4 can coolers from major brands such as the ones above, when they can create a Universal can cooler. So they began marketing online and created a product design. The brothers instantly gained millions of followers, likes, and views making their products a huge sensation. In the first 4 months of them being on the marketplace, they came in as number 3 for thermo coolers. Their main goals is to always stay true to how they grew up in their small farm town in Newton, Illinois, which is, faith, family and now Frost Buddy.
HydroFlask
HydroFlask has been able to help bring more awareness to the outdoors, not just with its products but with their Park For All, which is a charitable program to help public green spaces while promoting happier and healthier lives outdoors.
Ozark Trail
Ozark Trail is a Walmart brand name for camping gear. With that being said they are extremely affordable, you could buy 10 tumblers from Ozark Trail for the same price as their other competitors. Ozark Trail has a double-wall vacuum-sealed engineering along with high-grade 18/8 stainless steel that allows you to keep your beverage of choice to handle whether it be hot or cold. Another great benefit of this tumbler is that it is BPA-free, which assures you on its safety when putting hot drinks, such as coffee or tea. This tumbler really outdoes itself with all of its benefits, like the non-skid bottom and locking lid, assures your drink staying in place while keeping the beverage inside the cup. And let’s not forget the ability to customize your tumbler to match your unique personality. Ozark Trail also offers a life-time warranty on their products.
